Fog in the Ohio River Valley

I've been traveling a lot in the past month, which has been great for taking photos, but not so much for editing them and getting them online (Adobe Lightroom is great, but boy could I use a faster laptop!). On the way home from the CVG Airport late Friday night, around 11:30PM, I saw quite a sight as I crossed the river: there was no river, only clouds!

Fog tends to get quite heavy in Cincinnati around this time of year. The weather is changing and since we're set in a valley there's quite a bit of thick fog to be seen. Great opportunities for photography, but here's the other downside to travel: you're dead tired at the end of the day. I just couldn't bring myself to getting turned around, unpacking the gear, and shooting - I just wanted to get home and get to bed.

Not fog, but smoke from the WEBN Fireworks. (Hey, at least it's a cloud!)

The good news is that the bulk of my travel is over with, and I can start in on the giant task of editing several weeks worth of images. ...And I'm back in town just in time to get some interesting cityscapes with the fog. Stay tuned!
