The Best of Photography and Film exhibit

I got the following heads up in an email regarding a local exhibit. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds quite good...
There is a great photography exhibit currently showing at the Speed Art Museum in Lousiville, KY. It runs through Sept. 16. It is called "The Best of Photograpy and Film" from the George Eastman House collection. The exhibit contains over 200 photogrphs from a Matthew Brady of Abraham Lincoln, through Dorthea Lang's "Migrant Mother" to Sept. 11, 2001.

I received the following in an email from someone who had visited the exhibit...

I spent the day in Louisville at the Speed Museum of Art looking at the George Eastman "The
Best of Photography and Film" collection. I highly recommend you go down before it ends on
September 16. Photographs include:

Matthew Brady "Portrait of Abraham Lincoln"
Joe Rosenthal "Old Glory Goes Up on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima, 1945"
Dr. Harold E. Edgerton "Shooting the Apple" and "Milkdrop Coronet"
Dorothea Lange "Migrant Mother, Nipomo, California"
Irving Pabboravsky "Pear"
Paul Strand "Blind Woman" and "The Whit Fence"
Ansel Adams "Moonlight, Hernandez, New Mexico"

Plus many old Albumen prints, Tintypes, and Daguerreotypes. Also some fine examples of old
cameras, including the first Leica, press cameras, and a nice Rolleiflex.

It's worth the trip.
