Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3First up is the newest book from Scott Kelby, master Photoshop educator. In this book, he goes through a ton of photographs and follows the same seven steps with each to go from good to great. While I feel that I'm pretty capable in Photoshop, I got that way by learning from other's techniques - it'll be great to see how Scott defines the seven essential Photoshop moves.
Steve Caplin's How to Cheat in Photoshop CS3: The art of creating photorealistic montagesWhile shopping for Scott's book I discovered this one from Steve Caplin. After a bit of research I found this to be held in pretty high regard, so I'm hoping to pick up some great tricks. While I haven't opened it yet I'm impressed with just how thick of a book it is! Knowing the shortcuts is the "next step" once you've mastered the basics - I hope this book holds up to its acclaim.
Chip Heath's Made To Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others DieWhile not directly related to photography, I enjoy reading about successful ideas & discussion around *why* those ideas worked. And who knows - there are plenty of lessons to be learned from these accounts that could easily be applied to any kind of business, photography or otherwise.
