Album Art Meme - Fun for Monday

I saw this post over on the Fishbowl (a non-photo-related blog that I follow) the other day and have been wanting to try it out. Through a series of mashups you can generate a great band name - complete with your first album title and cover art! A little fun for a day that many folks in the US have off of work.

Here's mine, steps to create your own follow... I think the results are pretty hilarious - this one looks to be some kind of metal band!

How to create your album cover:

1. Your band name is the title of your first hit on Wikipedia's random page
1. Mine is from the Fedération International des Associations de Producteurs de Films
2. Your album name is taken from the end of the last quote on this random quotes page
1. Mine is from Ralph Waldo Emerson
   
3. Your album cover must be made from the fourth picture on Flickr's Creative Commons Attribution License
1. Mine is from danbuck57313
   

I've modified step three from the original instructions to use only Creative Commons Licensed images instead of just any old image on Flickr. While this is all for fun, it wouldn't be right to use someone else's photo for this if they don't want you to use it. Better to stick with images that are "up for grabs".

[The funny thing about all this is that once my band, FIAPF, makes it big, I can print up as many of these covers as I'd like without paying any royalties to the artist for an image license! Gotta love that Creative Commons... Great for publishers, bad for creatives... -RRD]
